I cannot say enough amazing things about White Satin Bridal Boutique! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with such warmth and kindness—I truly felt like family. At first, I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted, but Dominique and Shannon took the time to understand my vision and brought it to life in the most incredible way. Their expertise, patience, and genuine excitement made finding my dream dress such a fun and unforgettable experience. I was torn between getting a big ball gown dress or something more fitted and practical, Dominique made my dream dress a reality when she suggested adding an over skirt, and I got to have two very special looks on my wedding day!

A huge thank you as well to the in-house seamstress, whose exceptional skill and attention to detail ensured my dress fit like an absolute dream. Every adjustment was done with such care, making my gown truly perfect for my big day.

The entire team at White Satin made this journey so special, and I can’t thank them enough for their support and guidance throughout the process. I can’t say thank you enough! Coming from out of town, I found White Satin through a Google search and knew I had to make the trip! I love how easy it was to see so many of their dress options online and on Pinterest - this made me a lot more prepared and excited for my appointment. Domonique was my Stylist and she was amazing, attentive, kind & knowledgeable. She suggested many dress options within my budget, changes I could make to dresses to fit my needs (i.e., straps), and shared stories of her own experiences - all while making sure my own thoughts and preferences about the dresses were heard and prioritized. I also got to meet Shannon, the boutique manager, and another stylist - who were equally as kind!
I said yes to the dress during my appointment, and am looking forward to continuing to work with them for my alterations and prep before my wedding day! Thank you SO much to the whole White Stain bridal team 🙂

I had the most incredible experience at White Satin and I cannot thank Dominique, Shannan, and the White Satin Team enough for making my wedding dress journey so smooth and memorable. From my very first appointment, Dominique was an absolute gem. She was attentive, insightful, and provided valuable feedback that helped me find the perfect gown. Despite starting my dress shopping later than planned, Dominique’s expertise guided me through the process with ease, helping me narrow down exactly what I wanted.

What truly sets this boutique apart is their exceptional customer service. With my dress expected to arrive just 1-2 months before the wedding, Shannan and the incredible seamstress Sue, went above and beyond to accommodate my timeline. They were not only flexible but also ensured all the necessary alterations were completed on time, making the process completely stress-free.

I was unfortunately disappointed with my experience at White Satin Bridal. I tried on three dresses before the stylist told me they didn’t have what I was looking for. While I appreciated the honesty, I feel it could have been delivered in a gentler way. The vibe felt a bit off, and I left disappointed, especially since my bridesmaids and mother had come a long way to join me.

The boutique itself is beautiful, and I’m sure many brides will find their dream dress here, but in my case I felt like I was wasting their time. This was just my experience, and I wish it had gone differently.

My initial motivation for wedding dress shopping at White Satin Boutique was to support Asian-owned businesses. As fate would have it, it was also the only store in Ottawa that carried dresses by Jenny Yoo, a Korean-American designer. I truly hit the jackpot when I found my dress there in July 2023. The selection of Jenny Yoo gowns was stunning, with so many options that it felt like one of those “can’t go wrong” situations. Dominique, the bridal stylist, was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. She took the time to understand my style and vision for the big day, addressing my hesitations and providing guidance without any pressure. She is so impressively good at her job in fact that I would argue she knows THE dress for you, even before you know it yourself.

Once my dress arrived in March, I returned to the boutique for a series of minor alterations, all while enjoying the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Shannan was also a pleasure to work with—her friendly, positive nature made every visit enjoyable. Siu, the expert seamstress, helped to ensure my dress fit perfectly and was comfortable enough to dance the night away without worry. I have and continue to receive countless compliments on my gown, and couldn’t have been happier with my choice. I wholeheartedly recommend White Satin Boutique for anyone looking for an exceptional bridal experience!

The team at White Satin are truly incredible. You feel at home and like family immediately. Dominique and Shannan are the sweetest souls I have ever met. They made the process of finding my perfect dress such a dream. I specifically wanted the Watters Viviane dress that I could not find in Montreal and when I reached out to White Satin they said it was no problem to get it shipped to them. Turns out it was THE dress and I am forever grateful that they did everything for me to be so so so happy. Not only did I find my dress at White Satin, I also found friends whom I will go visit as often as I can!
