Absolutely the worst hospital I have ever been to in my entire life! The doctors make you feel stupid for ever going in there everytime you go in. They brush you off and make you feel like you are a burden to them for being there everytime. In the passed 2 years of li ung here I've had to go in twice for some issues and my children twice and my wife once. And every single one of us and people I know get treated the same way. You generally wait 2-3 hours or more just to sit in a room even if there are no other people in the waiting room. Once the doctor finally arrives she makes you feel like "how could you ever come in and ask her for assistance" it's ridiculous and I and several other people I know feel the same and will never go back again!

Came in, told them I had a UTI and just wanted a prescription. They did a urine sample, and 3 hours later I was called into a room. The doctor came, asked me if I was pregnant, then took another hour to come back. Once she finally returned, she told me I was not pregnant and needed to pick up a prescription at the pharmacy. No explanation on what the prescription was for, if I had a UTI or not, nothing. I had to ask the pharmacist what it was for, and he had to explain it.

A week ago I had shortness of breath. I was seen immediately. The nurses and doctors on duty made me comfortable and answered my questions calmly and with professional grace. It was recommended that I stay in emergency and wait until the morning to get an ultrasound which revealed an enlarged heart. I was admitted and spent the next three days being treated by numerous medical professionals, nurses, orderlies, doctors, cleaning staff and catering staff. They ALL did their jobs with professionalism and pride. I am grateful for their care and attention. Thank you to all !

Emergency. Rude in the door. Waited for over an hour for triage. Got an x ray in decent time after triage. Waited 2.5 hours with no news until I had to leave. Tried to explain to reception I needed to leave, but she wouldn't acknowledge me standing at her window while she answered 3 calls. I hope I can get my xray results Monday from my doctor.

4.5 hours waiting wasn't the worst, but it would've been better if the receptionists had some customer service skills.

Was greeted friendly and professionally. Nurse was quick and efficient with the triage. Dr was courteous and friendly. Offered his opinion and steps to take to remedy the situation.

I recently move from Alberta to Ontario.My son 16 months old,was sick and went to Wingham District hospital when the doctor came,she said to do a blood test and I agree to do the blood test.While during the blood sample one of the male staff inserted the needle without preparing anything like syringes,blood sample bottle,after inserting the needle I saw too much blood in the bed sheet,nobody pressing the needle or anything,blood is running fast through the needle.Total four staff was there on time,I asked staff and they said no problem.After that staff put a connection though the needle for iv fluids and put a small plaster on it.So I asked them there is any butterfly cannula or anything but staff denied,they don’t have any paediatric items .After putting the line my son was moving the hand vigorously but staff came and pushed again.After 15 minutes I asked there is any splint then they said yes we are coming to put that. I am very disappointed for this consultation,even if they don’t have any paediatric treatment they can refer.this is my suggestion

physio staff is the only good thing about this hospital, they are very friendly and helpful and sent me home with all the knowledge and tools I need to recover. While I was a patient there after back surgery, Vander Klippe never once focused on my back, he focused on my smoking habit trying to get me to quit when I have no interest in doing so. Nurses were fine, charge nurse was extremely rude when I questioned and challenged her on hospital rules, very unprofessional, and suppers consisted of turkey at least 3-4 days a week, usually 3 days in a row. I will die before I am ever a patient there again.

My dad was brought in at the beginning of December 2021 with what turned out to be kidney failure. The doctors and nurses were caring and attentive and took really good care of him. Great job Wingham hospital ! From Kaz
