This is one of the smaller Zehrs store within KW. And the store is a very nice store, with a great layout and amazing staff. The produce always seem to be fresh and perfect. As do the bakery items. Their meat selections are also great. The store is also always neat and tidy.

Far from one of the best locations in Waterloo region. I have found VERY expired products the last 3 times I've shopped here. Unfortunately at least one of those times was after eating the yogurt at home. Today is what prompted the review. After finding fresh pizza dough that was packed more than 2 weeks ago I stopped by the bakery department to let them know and ask if they had a fresh one. I got a lot of attitude about even questioning it and had to apologize to the woman working for not wanting to poison my family tonight and how very sorry I was to inconvenience her. I got a humph in response and not even any response to how dangerous the rotten food is.

The only reason this location gets a 3 star is the amazing cashiers who are always friendly and kind. Barb in particular almost makes all the danger worth the risk.

Also be careful in the parking lot... It's one of the scariest ones I've driven thru... An accident literally just happened while typing this review.

EXPIRED ITEMS EVERYWHERE AND LACK OF CHASHIERS BEING AVAILABLE! This is absurd considering this store charges more that FreshCo and Food Basics. Yet both those stores are ran better. They have multiple cashiers open at all times. This location has usually 1 or 2 with massive line ups at self check out. What's even more absurd is they put up a new sign on their door when you walk in saying "if it's not fresh it's free". I went in for several items last week and found a lot of milk expired for over a week sitting there on the shelf. Like nobody checks this? I would hate for somebody that's in a rush or a senior not to check the expiry date and then get home and be out of their money because perhaps they threw the receipt away. Terrible management

The employees are nice if they actually do their job which most of them dont, im a high school student at bluevale too so there is SO MUCH people in 1 line and usually if there were multiple lanes open I'd be able to get back on tike but one time I WAS 20 MINUTES LATE TO CLASS and it doesnt evem end there, prices are WAY too high, and I swear I was there with one of my friends and he needed to go to the bathroom so I waited outside the bathroom but from up the stairs I heard really inappropriate sounds. If I could I would give this 0 stars..

Terrible grocery store. I bought an already over priced 20$ chicken fajita tray, just to come home and find out the guac was expired by 7 days, AFTER eating it.

The employees also didn’t let me switch out the guacamole in store when i asked politely, as i wanted a different sauce.

Worst part is that this isn’t the first time with their food trays!

One person can make a difference. We were shopping for groceries for my son's return to school. We needed a milk jug to hold milk bags. I asked one of the staff.
She was very friendly and helpful. She took me to two different aisles, but didn't find jugs. She said that apparently they didn't have any. I thanked her and moved on.
She found us 5 minutes later and had a jug in her hands. What an act of kindness: looking through the store to find us.
The store is great. Everything is clean and fresh.
Prices are slightly above average, but the quality is well above average. And they have some good deals, too.

Terrible experience here. I bought a pack of Redbull on November 29th. After drinking half of one and having it taste funny, I realized that these idiots had put out an almost 2 MONTH expired pack! (Expired on October 10th). I ended up throwing up a few hours after. Went in on November 30th at 6:03pm to exchange it and was turned away because they close customer service at 6pm. Even ignoring that experience, most of the products here are way overpriced, there was expired milk, and the baguette we got went stale after 12 hours. I only shopped here as I had a gift card, never again. I would rate 0 stars if possible. Sobeys is the way to go.

The refrigerated organic section was absolutely awful today. Disorganized and dirty.
The rest of the store was good. Do better Zehr’s!
