I wanted to take a moment to express my deep gratitude to the incredible staff and Valerie, the store manager at Zehrs for their outstanding support during a very scary moment. My daughter collapsed in the store, and the way the staff jumped into action was nothing short of amazing. Valerie and team went above and beyond to ensure my daughter was safe, comfortable, and well taken care of while we waited for medical help. Their kindness, professionalism, and quick response truly made a stressful situation much easier to handle. I can’t thank them enough for their care and compassion. It’s rare to find such a dedicated team, and I am so thankful for everything they did. Zehrs is lucky to have such a wonderful group of people, and I will always appreciate how they went out of their way to help us. My daughter is doing well and we will continue to be loyal customers at this store. Thank you again!☺️

I am a person of colour and have ALWAYS been treated that way in this store! I avoid going because of exactly that treatment. I am a retired professional and don't deserve the treatment I get there. I just happened to be passing and required a cake for my son's 42nd birthday. I took my 2 grandchildren with me. The store was not busy, but when the cashier is engaging in conversation with the client before me and it's now my turn, but, not even hello is said and after my purchase nothing as well. Enough said. Customer service in this store is a thing of the past......and it's not the first time!!!

Recently visited Zehrs in Welland and, unfortunately, had a disappointing experience at the checkout. The cashier was noticeably rude from the start. They barely greeted me, avoided eye contact, and seemed annoyed throughout the transaction. When I had a simple question about pricing, they responded with a curt tone that made me feel like I was inconveniencing them.

Good customer service is so important, especially at the checkout, where shoppers form their final impression. I hope Zehrs addresses this issue with their staff and encourages a more welcoming, friendly attitude. Until then, I may reconsider shopping at this location.

NOT IMPRESSED!! I've been shopping here for about 3 years now, out of convenience. I have noticed a deterioration in a number of things, increased food prices, plexy glass, food quality, and customer service. While most of the staff are awesome, looks like some recent new hires have little to no experience working within the food industry. Today I was waiting at the bakery section for service while 3 people continued their fun times and conversation a few feet away, one of them scrolling thru their phone! Now I don't feel it's just me, but should employees be handling food products such as bread with their bare hands after using their cell phone? After I got home I noticed the bread was discolored and didn't feel like it was safe to eat. So now, after paying their high prices, it's going to cost me extra in gas just to return it!! This is totally UNACCEPTABLE!!! In future I'll be shopping elsewhere, that's not part of the Loblaw corporation.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Carts are clean and collected. Store and facilities are clean. Cashiers are fast and there are self-check out options. Plenty of parking. Free WiFi.

I am incredibly disappointed with my recent experience at Zehrs in Welland. The cashier I encountered was shockingly rude and clearly had no interest in helping customers. They barely acknowledged me, rolled their eyes when I asked a simple question, and acted like my presence was a burden. I’ve never felt so unwelcome in a store.

This is completely unacceptable for a customer-facing role. It’s insulting to be treated with such disrespect, especially when I’m choosing to spend my hard-earned money here. Zehrs, you seriously need to re-evaluate your standards for customer service if this is what shoppers are expected to deal with. I won’t be returning unless something changes. It’s clear that customers aren’t a priority here, and that’s a deal-breaker for me.
